The school has run up to eighteen mobile clinics in Kwale County, supporting rural and more urban communities with Integrated Medicine clinics. The clinics serve the community with affordable and effective healthcare and also serve as a clinical training program for students at the school.
The clinics are also run in conjunction with other health services offered through the Ministry of Health, Kwale County, including jigger campaigns, nutritional programs and other outreach clinical programs.
They serve as an important contribution to the health care needs of the county as well as offering important clinical training and supervision for students. Graduates of the school also participate in the clinical programs, helping to supervise students.
During the 5 year European Union program (2015-2020) we supported the development of 24 Community Health Units in remote parts of the county, in conjunction with the Ministry of Health, Kwale County.
